Katie Ledecky keeps her Olympic gold medals in a special (and soft) spot!
While attending a Raising Cane’s employee appreciation conference in Cancún, Mexico, on Tuesday, Sept. 24, the swimmer, 27, took part in a keynote, where she revealed where she keeps her prizes from the 2024 Paris Olympics.
After walking onstage to applause from leaders part of the fast food establishment’s team, Ledecky said, “Well, I brought a little souvenir from Paris. I figured you’d like to see something,” before she removed one of her gold medals from a patriotic sock she was carrying with her.
Later, during a Q&A with Raising Cane’s owner and founder Todd Graves and co-CEO AJ Kumaran, the athlete joked of her medals, “I keep them around,” before adding, “These first few months, especially after Paris, I keep them in my socks and carry them around in a little bag and try to show them to as many people as I can.”
“It’s fun to see the faces light up [when I show the medals], and it’s a joy to share those moments with as many people as I can,” she continued.
