Rangers hero Kris Boyd was spotted completely ignoring Celtic’s title celebrations happening right behind him in new fan footage.

The former Gers striker was part of the Sky Sports pundit team covering the Hoops’ clash with Kilmarnock at Rugby Park, where a 5-0 win sealed the title for Brendan Rodgers’ team.

The squad then celebrated with the away fans in the stand after the game, but footage posted by X account JamieGrier88 (15 May) showed Boyd with his back to the pitch completely ignoring the celebrations while in the makeshift studio.

Kris Boyd was every Rangers fan amid Celtic title success

You’d be hard pressed to find a Rangers fan or anyone associated with the club who reacted any other way after Celtic clinched their title with a dominant win.

Most people already knew the title race was over after the 2-1 defeat at Celtic Park on Saturday 11 May left them needing just one point from the final two games, but then it was officially confirmed.

Light Blues fans have had to deal with their celebrations and gloating for most of this century as they have won 18 of the last 24 league titles.

Boyd was simply doing his job with Sky and had no interest in his rivals’ team celebrating behind him, and why would he be?

In an ideal world there will be celebrations at Ibrox next year and this footage can be repeated but with Chris Sutton in the chair instead of Boyd, but Rangers have a long way to go to get there starting with this summer’s transfer window.
