Tsitsipas is still competing in the Indian Wells competition, but Badosa, the previous winner, had to retire because of persistent injury issues.

She’s come and gone a little. The most annoying thing about it all is that after playing a couple of matches, she didn’t feel well again, so it’s been a difficult period for both of them.
