It is thought that Everton may sell the 21-year-old before June 30 in order to include his price in their 2023–24 campaign finances and prevent further point deductions.

Though they will probably cash in an effort to try and avoid another run-in with the Premier League’s Profitability and Sustainability Rules (PSR), the Toffees are anxious to hang onto the center back.

Football Insider has been informed by a reliable source that Branthwaite is Man United’s “top target” as they attempt to strengthen their defense this summer.

This season, Branthwaite has made 36 appearances for Everton in all competitions, starting every one of those games.

The center back, who signed a new contract in 2023, is bound to Goodison Park until June 2027. He was selected for his first senior England call-up last month.

Under Ratcliffe and INEOS, Man United is eager to center its rebuilding around the 21-year-old.

Jonny Evans and Raphael Varane’s contracts expire in June, and Willy Kambwala, Lisandro Martinez, Harry Maguire, and Victor Lindelof will all be available for the 2024–25 season.
