New Orleans Saints Player Joins Washington Huskies Coaching Staff

The New Orleans Saints drafted Vinnie Sunseri as the 167th overall draft pick in the fifth round of the 2014 NFL Draft. He signed a four-year contract with New Orleans and was later placed on injured reserve on Nov. 12, 2014, due to an arm injury.

The Saints waived Sunseri in 2015. He later was on the rosters of the New England Patriots and San Francisco 49ers in 2016. The Washington Huskies hired Sunseri as the safeties coach in February 2024. He has worked as a graduate assistant coach with Alabama (2019), a defensive coaching assistant with the New England Patriots (2020), and as a running backs coach with the same team (2021–2023).
