Jordon Davison Raves About Return Visit to Oregon

2025 Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei running back Jordon Davison has long been a priority for Oregon and coach Carlos Locklyn. He’s got just about every offer in the country and has been to Oregon numerous times. So why did he want to get back this weekend? “It’s a special place. They’re going in the right direction,” he told Ducks Digest following his most recent trip to Eugene

. “The development that Coach Lock has had with the players in his room and the ones that’s leaving is unbelievable. Coach Lanning, he’s very consistent, down to earth. He always spends time around me and my family. I feel like it’s truly genuine.” The 5-foot-11, 205-pound ballcarrier gave some highlights from the trip. “Just being around it in general. Being around some of the players. Interacting with Coach Lock and sitting down talking with Coach (Dan) Lanning.”

Davison spent time with players like new running back Jay Harris, but his interactions and conversations with Dan Lanning continue to strengthen the connection he’s built with Oregon. “Most of the interactions we had weren’t even about football,” Davison said. That’s what I really like about Coach Lanning.

” The Ducks have a ton of momentum as they look ahead to their first season in the Big Ten and Davison spoke to why he thinks Oregon is heading in the right direction.

“They’ve won the past two years. You don’t see a lot of coaches go into a program and win 10 games in the span that he’s been there. He’s (Lanning) only been there for two years. I feel like they’re a real contender for the national championship.”
