Giannis began dating Mariah Riddlesprigger (now Mariah Antetokounmpo) around 2014–15, shortly after his NBA draft. She’s a former Rice University volleyball player turned entrepreneur (“Sincerely, Mariah”) and worked in basketball operations before establishing her own brand and philanthropic pursuits.

They married in a private ceremony in Greece on September 1, 2024, attended by close family, Bucks teammates (including Khris Middleton), and Serena Williams.

Giannis described the celebration as “a few incredible days” and “a celebration of our love”.

Since 2020, the Antetokounmpos have welcomed four children together:

Liam Charles (Feb 2020)

Maverick Shai (Aug 2021)

Eva Brooke (Sept 2023)

Aria Capri (May 2025)

They balance a busy sports schedule with strong family presence, sharing heartfelt moments like tears in the delivery room and fun trips to Greece.

Giannis often speaks about learning “his soft side” through hands-on parenting—late-night diaper changes, cuddles, and guiding his kids with respect and gratitude.

The couple supports causes like the Milwaukee Diaper Mission, launching diaper drives instead of baby showers and partnering with Huggies to give back—efforts inspired by Giannis’s own childhood experiences in Greece and Nigeria.

They’re committed to maintaining a grounded family life, shielding it from fame. At home, no basketball trophies—just family. Giannis speaks Greek to their children and ensures they learn about their Nigerian-Greek heritage.

Mariah plays a vital role behind the scenes—offering emotional support, managing family logistics, and running businesses and charitable initiatives. She keeps a low-profile yet impactful presence, which complements Giannis’s values of humility and privacy.
