The Christian County Coroner’s Office has confirmed the identities of the two individuals who were killed in a car accident on Wednesday night.
24-year-old Sara Michelle Hardy from Hazel, Kentucky and 24-year-old Damon Furlough from Calloway County both died on the scene of the accident. The wreck occurred after two passenger vehicles collided around 8 p.m. on I-24 westbound near exit 81 on March 26.
While emergency crews investigated the scene, both lanes of traffic were blocked for an extended period of time. Reports from the Hopkinsville Fire Department/EMS indicate that there was a fire after the collision.
